What we do

Good fishing gear gets left in the shed once it’s not being used, while someone else is hunting for exactly that rod, reel, or tackle box. SQID exists to connect the two: a straightforward place to buy and sell used gear locally, without the risk that usually comes with trading gear between strangers online.

Built around trust

Every sale on SQID goes through payment protection - your money is held until you’ve confirmed the item turned up as described, not handed straight to the seller. Rods get an extra layer with RodSafe, a documented packing check before they’re shipped. Why second-hand

Fishing gear is built to last, and most of it outlives however long the original owner actually uses it. Buying and selling second-hand keeps good gear in the water instead of gathering dust, and gets newer anglers into decent kit without paying retail.
